BREAD

BREAD OF LIFE

John 6:25-59

1.BREAD OF ETERNAL LIFE

John 6:32-33 Jesus said to them, Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.

1.Dependence: Recognize that worldly achievements, pleasures, or even religious rituals cannot satisfy the deepest hunger.

2.Transformation: Feeding on Christ reshapes desires, priorities, and identity.

3.Hope: The bread of eternal life assures believers of resurrection and everlasting communion with God.

Note:- Salvation of Bread

When you receive Born Again life on earth and it gives you eternal life

Earthly bondages can be removed by Heavenly power.

2.BREAD OF SPIRITUAL LIFE

John 6:35-36 Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Note:- Everybody cares

Note:-  Matthew 4:4

Man shall not live only bread but The word comes from above

1.Daily Bread vs. Daily Word: Just as we eat daily, we must feed spiritually on Scripture.

2.Battles of Life: When faced with temptation, weakness, or uncertainty, quoting and living by God’s word strengthens us.

3.Restoration & Readiness: God’s word prepares us for trials, restores hope, and teaches surrender.

3.BREAD OF RESURRECTED LIFE

John6:40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

- Believing in Him

Faith is the central response. Belief here is not mere intellectual assent but trust, surrender, and reliance on Christ. It’s relational—entering into union with Him.

- Eternal Life & Resurrection

Eternal life begins now through faith but culminates in resurrection “on the last day.” This ties personal salvation to eschatological hope: believers are not only spiritually renewed but physically raised, completing God’s plan of restoration.

Spiritual Depth

- Restoration Theme: Eternal life is not just endless existence but restored fellowship with God. It reverses the curse of death and alienation.

- Readiness & Surrender: Belief requires readiness to let go of self-reliance and surrender to Christ’s sufficiency.

- Hope in Battles: The promise of resurrection strengthens believers facing suffering, loss, or persecution. It assures that death is not the end.
