warns Christians against loving the world's sinful system—characterized by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and pride in possessions—arguing it is incompatible with love for God. These worldly desires are temporary, while those who follow God's will gain eternal life.
1.Death as the Universal Appointment
- Hebrews 9:27 – “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
- Death is not random; it is a divine appointment. Every person faces it, and it ushers us into accountability before God.
- Explanation: Destiny is not sealed by death itself, but by the choices made before death. Death is the doorway to judgment.
2.Death as the Wages of Sin
- Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
- Death is both physical and spiritual. Sin earns separation from God, but Christ offers eternal life.
- Explanation: Without Christ, death leads to eternal separation. With Christ, death becomes a passage into eternal life.
3.Death as Defeated in Christ
- 1 Corinthians 15:55–57 – “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? … Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
- For believers, death is not the end but the beginning of eternal fellowship with God.
- Explanation: Destiny is transformed—death no longer decides destruction, but ushers in victory.
4.Death as a Transition to Destiny
- John 11:25–26 – “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
- Jesus reframes death as a transition, not a termination.
- Explanation: Faith in Christ determines whether death leads to eternal life or eternal separation.
5.Practical Implications
- Philippians 1:21 – “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
- Paul sees death as gain because it means union with Christ.
- Explanation: Destiny is not decided by death itself, but by whether life was lived in Christ. Death simply reveals the eternal outcome.
3.Judgment Day (if you think about death it tells about judgement day)
For this Day you have to prepare before death
Your death will leave a testimony to this world
Death is the pen to write your testimony
Your lifestyle and Gods kingdom work
Death as the Entrance to Judgment
- Hebrews 9:27 — “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
- This verse makes the link explicit: death isn’t the end, but the doorway to accountability before God.
- It reminds us that life is not cyclical or endless in this world; there is a set appointment—death—and then a divine evaluation.
Resurrection and Judgment
- John 5:28–29 — “For the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.”
- Jesus teaches that death is temporary. Everyone will be raised, but the outcome differs: eternal life or eternal separation.
- Death, therefore, points us forward to resurrection and judgment.
The Finality of Judgment
- Revelation 20:12 — “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened… and the dead were judged according to their works.”
- Death levels all people—“small and great”—and brings them before God’s throne.
- The “books” symbolize God’s perfect record of our lives. Nothing is forgotten, and justice is complete.
Hope Beyond Death
- Romans 6:23 — “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
- Death reminds us of sin’s consequence, but Judgment Day also reveals God’s mercy.
- Through Christ, believers receive eternal life—a gift, not earned by works.
Practical Reflection
Thinking about death isn’t meant to paralyze us with fear, but to awaken us to live wisely:
- Ecclesiastes 12:13–14 — “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment.”
- Death and judgment call us to live faithfully now, knowing our choices matter eternally.
Note:- When someone is saved in Christ and when he will die in Christ, He is not dead as Christ but He is alive in Christ in heaven
Final Points :-
Mark 10:21
And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
Note:- JOB 1:21
And said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”
Note:- Then we say It is finished as Jesus said to his father , WITHOUT DOING ABOVE THINGS WE CAN'T SAY THIS WORD , CHECK YOURSELF ?
