LESSONS ABOUT MONEY

Money Biblical Explanation

Trusting God Over Wealth

1.Matthew 6:33 – “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

2.Priority is God’s kingdom, not financial security.

3.Philippians 4:19 – “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

4.Assurance that God provides for His people.

 Luke 16:10-13

10 Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

13 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Note:- Mark 10:21
And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

Note:- JOB 1:21
And said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

Note:- The above two verses tells that money has taken place of GOD

Note:- Money is the biggest Enemy for God's plan and purpose in life

Money as a Rival Master

- Matthew 6:24 — “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

- Jesus frames money as a competing master. When wealth becomes the ultimate pursuit, it dethrones God’s rightful place in our lives.

- God’s plan is for us to live in surrender and trust, but money tempts us to rely on self-sufficiency.

2. The Root of Many Evils

- 1 Timothy 6:10 — “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”

- Notice it’s not money itself, but the love of it.

- This love leads to compromise, dishonesty, broken relationships, and spiritual wandering. It becomes an enemy because it diverts us from God’s purpose of holiness and contentment.

3. Money Choking the Word

- Matthew 13:22 — In the parable of the sower, Jesus says: “The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.”

- Wealth deceives by promising security and satisfaction, but it suffocates spiritual growth.

- God’s plan is fruitfulness, but money’s lure can leave us barren.

4. False Security in Riches

- Proverbs 11:28 — “Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.”

- Trusting money is a false foundation. God’s plan is that we trust Him as our provider.

- Riches can collapse overnight, but God’s promises endure.

5. The Rich Young Ruler

- Mark 10:21–22 — Jesus told the rich young ruler to sell his possessions and follow Him. The man went away sad because he had great wealth.

- His attachment to money kept him from surrendering fully to God’s purpose.

- This shows how money can block obedience and discipleship.

6. God’s Alternative Vision

Instead of money being our master, God calls us to:

- Contentment — “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” (Hebrews 13:5)

- Generosity — “Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” (1 Timothy 6:18)

- Treasures in Heaven — “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” (Matthew 6:19–20)

Putting It Together

Money becomes the biggest enemy of God’s plan when:

- It replaces trust in God with trust in wealth.

- It enslaves the heart with greed.

- It chokes spiritual fruitfulness.

- It blocks surrender and obedience.

God’s purpose is not to make us poor, but to make us free—free from the chains of greed, free to live generously, and free to walk in His calling without compromise.

All the fleshly desires we can overcome but one fleshly desire about money we cannot overcome

Note: Dont give plan to god ever, Just follow his plan blindly

Note :- if you remove money in ministry you can see who is real?

Example in Corona lockdown pastors are suffered alot for the money and so many pastors came to me and asked me for the pray

Note:-  Then i told them that i laughed because everybody scolded me then i said THIS THE CORRECT TIME THAT WE CAN IDENTIFY THE FAKE PASTORS WHO WERE NOT CHOSEN BY GOD BECAUSE THEY HAVE CHOSEN GOD FOR THEIR OWN SELF NEEDS

Note:- BEACUSE IF GOD CALLED A PERSON HE WILL STAND FOR GOD AT ANY COST IN ALL THE STORMS AND CHALLENGES BECAUSE HIS GRACE IS SUFFICENT

Stewardship

Core Meaning of Stewardship

- Ownership vs. Management: Scripture teaches that God owns everything (Psalm 24:1). We are stewards, entrusted to manage His resources wisely.

- Faithfulness: Stewardship is not about how much we have, but how faithfully we use it (Luke 16:10).

- Holistic Responsibility: It covers finances, spiritual gifts, time, relationships, and care for creation.

Dimensions of Stewardship

- Time: Redeem the time (Ephesians 5:15–16). Every moment is a gift to be used wisely.

- Talents: Use skills for God’s glory, not self-promotion (Romans 12:6–8).

- Treasure: Generosity reflects trust in God (2 Corinthians 9:6–7).

- Testimony: Stewardship includes living as witnesses of Christ (Matthew 5:16).

- Creation: Caring for the environment honors God’s design (Genesis 1:28).

Practical Application

- Daily Choices: Ask, “Am I using this resource for God’s glory or my own comfort?”

- Generosity: Give cheerfully, knowing we are channels of God’s provision.

- Service: Invest talents in ministry, family, and community.

- Accountability: Live with readiness, knowing God will ask for an account (Romans 14:12).

Stewardship is ultimately about surrender and readiness. It reflects:

- Hope: Trusting God’s provision.

- Restoration: Using resources to heal and build up others.

- Readiness: Living prepared for Christ’s return.

- Surrender: Yielding ownership back to God.

Note:- In world so many are death (suicide) and heart strokes because of finicial stress

Note:- Now days money become as weapon in Gods ministry also

Ministry and churches became money minded but it should be christ minded

Imp Note:- For Gentiles Money is their god
