WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Fullness of Christ
“For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,”
Colossians 2:9
"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Philippians 1:21
Dieing for Christ means
1.Deny yourself
“Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”
Matthew 16:24-26
Keeping death very important thing in life is starts with three letters but very dangerous EGO
E- Fleshly Emotions
“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
1.Not self-hatred: It’s not about rejecting your worth, but aligning desires with God’s will.
2.Spiritual discipline: Self-denial trains the soul to resist temptation and grow in holiness.
3.Christ-centered living: It shifts focus from “me” to “Him,” making Jesus the center of decisions.
4.Service to others: Denying self often means choosing love, generosity, and sacrifice for the good of others.
Practical Applications
- Daily choices: Saying no to sinful habits, even when they feel appealing.
- Relationships: Putting your spouse, children, or community’s needs above selfish desires.
- Prayer & fasting: Spiritual disciplines that embody self-denial by prioritizing God over physical comfort.
- Generosity: Giving time, money, or energy to others instead of indulging in self-centered pursuits.
19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Note:- We have to deny all this above habits in our life then only we can have full image of christ in our lifestyle
2.(Living for Christ)
Note:- first priority should be God and his Mission
Note:-Set an example for the coming generations
Love with serve
1.Galatians 5:13
"Serve one another humbly in love."
Explanation: Paul reminds believers that freedom in Christ isn’t for selfish gain but for service. Love is the motive, humility is the posture, and serving is the action.
Application: Serving your family, church, or community becomes a way of showing Christ’s love—not out of duty, but out of genuine care.
2.John 13:14–15
"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
Explanation: Jesus models servant leadership by washing His disciples’ feet—a task reserved for the lowest servant. Love is demonstrated in humble service.
Application: True love often means doing the unnoticed, humble tasks for others. Serving isn’t glamorous, but it reflects Christ’s heart.
3.1 Peter 4:10
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
Explanation: Every believer has spiritual gifts, and these aren’t for self-promotion but for serving others. Serving is stewardship of God’s grace.
Application: Whether teaching, encouraging, or helping practically, serving with love multiplies God’s grace in the community.
4.Matthew 20:26–28
"Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Explanation: Greatness in God’s kingdom is measured by service, not status. Jesus Himself redefined leadership as sacrificial service.
Application: Love transforms ambition into service. Leading in your family or workplace means putting others’ needs first.
5.Hebrews 6:10
"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them."
Explanation: Serving others is seen by God as love shown to Him. Acts of service are never wasted or forgotten.
Application: Even small acts of kindness—helping a neighbor, supporting a friend—are eternal investments of love.
Note:-Love and service are inseparable in Scripture. To love is to serve, and to serve is to love. Jesus embodied this, and we are called to follow His example in daily life.
3.Diamond of christ
Note:- Diamond refers to Good testimony to this world
Protecting our personal testimony (Godly Character)
Note:- Without Testimony we can’t testify Jesus Christ
““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”
Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone says enter into heaven says lord lord
That means don’t focus on own life and lifestyle but obey to Gods word and keep practise his word through lifestyle upto last breadth
Note:- With Good testimony we can build peoples lives that is called building his kingdom and this called doing fathers will
