VESSEL

1.Vessel for world

2 Timothy 2:1-14

Job/Career - Work is good (Genesis 2:15), but meant to glorify God - Becomes an idol, leading to anxiety, pride, neglect of spiritual life

Friends - Friends should lead you Good ways and holy ways otherwise you will fallen into devil trap be very careful with friendships

 Friendship with the World
- “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?” (James 4:4)

This doesn’t mean we reject friends, but that our loyalty to God must outweigh social pressures or worldly approval.

God - The source of life, hope, and eternal purpose - Neglecting Him leads to emptiness, broken identity, and spiritual death

The First Commandment

- “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3)

Work, friendships, and success can become idols if they take the place of God in our hearts.

2. Jesus on Divided Loyalties

- “No one can serve two masters… You cannot serve God and money.” (Matthew 6:24)

This principle extends beyond money—anything that becomes our master (career, social approval, relationships) competes with God.

3. The Greatest Commandment

- “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37)

Notice the totality—heart, soul, mind. God isn’t asking for partial devotion but complete priority.

Here is a trustworthy saying

If we died with him,

    we will also live with him;

if we endure,

    we will also reign with him.

If we disown him,

    he will also disown us;

if we are faithless,

    he remains faithful,

    for he cannot disown himself.
