GOD

1.God lives in Heaven

God’s Throne in Heaven

1. God Enthroned in Majesty

Verse: “The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.” (Psalm 103:19)

God’s throne is not earthly—it is established in heaven, signifying His eternal authority over all nations, powers, and creation.

2. Isaiah’s Vision of the Throne

Verse: “I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” (Isaiah 6:1)

Isaiah’s vision shows the throne exalted above all, with God’s glory filling the temple. His throne is not just a seat—it is the center of holiness and worship.

Heavenly Throne Room in Revelation

Verse: “And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” (Revelation 4:2)

John’s vision reveals the throne as the focal point of heaven, surrounded by worship, light, and majesty. Everything in heaven revolves around God’s throne.

4. Christ at the Right Hand

Verse: “Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.” (1 Peter 3:22)

Jesus shares in the throne’s authority, seated at the right hand of the Father. This shows the unity of divine rule and the victory of Christ.

5. The Throne as a Place of Grace

Verse: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

God’s throne is not only about power—it is also the place where believers find mercy and help. His throne is both majestic and approachable through Christ.

2. God lives in tabernacle in old testament

God’s Dwelling in the Tabernacle

1. God Commands the Tabernacle

Verse: “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:8)

The tabernacle was not man’s idea—it was God’s command. He desired to live among Israel, not far away. The tabernacle was a visible sign of His nearness.

2. The Tabernacle as God’s Dwelling Place

Verse: “Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.” (Exodus 40:34)

When the tabernacle was completed, God’s glory visibly filled it. His presence was not abstract—it was manifested in a cloud and fire, showing His holiness and guidance.

God’s Presence in the Holy of Holies

Verse: “And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. And there I will meet with thee…” (Exodus 25:21–22)

The innermost part of the tabernacle—the Holy of Holies—contained the Ark of the Covenant. God promised to meet His people there, above the mercy seat, signifying His throne among them.

4. The Tabernacle as a Pattern of Heaven

Verse: “Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things…” (Hebrews 8:5)

The earthly tabernacle was a shadow of the heavenly reality. It pointed to Christ, who would later “tabernacle” among us  (John 1:14), fulfilling God’s ultimate plan to dwell with His people.

God’s Guidance Through the Tabernacle

Verse: “And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward… But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not…” (Exodus 40:36–37)

The tabernacle was not just a place of worship—it was the center of Israel’s guidance. God’s presence determined their movements, teaching dependence on Him.

3.God lives in human body through holy spirit in new testament

God Dwelling in Us Through the Spirit

1. Our Bodies as God’s Temple

Verse: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)

In the Old Testament, God’s presence filled the tabernacle and temple. In the New Testament, He fills believers. Your body is now His dwelling place—holy, set apart, and sacred.

2. The Spirit Lives Within Believers

Verse: “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8:9)

The Spirit is not an external force but an indwelling presence. Salvation brings the Spirit into your life, marking you as God’s own.

Christ Dwells in Us Through the Spirit

Verse: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Through the Spirit, Christ Himself lives in you. Your identity is transformed—you no longer live for yourself but for Him.

4. The Spirit Empowers Holiness

Verse: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Because God dwells in you, your lifestyle must reflect His holiness. Fear of God becomes practical—your choices honor His presence within.

The Spirit as Seal and Guarantee

Verse: “In whom ye also trusted… ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance.” (Ephesians 1:13–14)

The Spirit within you is God’s guarantee of eternal life. His indwelling presence is both a seal of ownership and a foretaste of glory.

Note:-

Old Testament vs. New Testament: In the Old Testament, God’s presence was localized (tabernacle, temple). In the New Testament, His presence is internalized (human body).

Practical Implication: Every believer carries God’s presence wherever they go. Worship is no longer confined to a building—it is lived out in daily life.

Transformation: The Spirit does not just dwell passively; He actively renews, convicts, empowers, and sanctifies.
